With an upcoming EP ‘Tradition’ on the way this Autumn, Monsune (aka Scott Zhang) releases a new single. This Chinese-Canadian musician makes his soulful pop from his Toronto bedroom. Listen to Monsune’s previous single ‘Nothing in Return’ on SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.
Coming from Boston, Jacob Gilman (aka Rah Zen) is back with his second album ‘Upon The Apex’, available now on Dome of Doom. The new album is available to pre-order on Bandcamp as either a Limited Edition, High-Bias cassette tapes w/ Full Colour Label (run of 100), or Digital Album. His first album ‘Midnight Satori’ is definitely worth a listen too (and is that a Dizzee Rascal sample in the track ‘Mindshift’??? Spotify).
Los Angeles producer Elusive returns to Dome of Doom with the new album Bonsai Tree. Recordings took place during November and December of last year at Elusive’s home studio in Venice, with features from LA-based musicians Ian Roller (saxophone) and Gabe Steiner (trumpet). The whole album is definitely worth a listen, available on Bandcamp.
He’s back! Jai Raj Paul is a British recording artist and record producer from Rayners Lane, London. It has been 7 years since his first two singles BTSTU (a previous #SOTD) and Jasmine, and Jai Paul has been on hiatus since a collection of his music was leaked in 2013. However, this week sees Jai Paul officially release his leaked album as Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones) (Spotify). And we have two new singles to enjoy, out on XL Recordings.
Producer and designer Seth Haley (aka Com Truise) hails from Oneida, New York and now resides in Los Angeles, California. On his latest mini-LP Persuasion System, Haley figuratively left his past behind and switched to digital audio workstations. Out now on Ghostly International (based in Ann Arbor, Michigan). Available form Bandcamp, although most of the international customer options are sold out.
