Fever Ray (Swedish singer-songwriter and record producer Karin Dreijer) has remixed Björk, Björk has remixed Fever Ray, and The Knife (Karin and xer brother Olof Dreijer) have remixed Björk. So much good music but I had to pick The Knife — they where my jam 2006–2010! This original Björk track comes from album Utopia, from which the previous SOTD Tabula Rasa also comes from. The three remixes will be officially released together by One Little Indian Records on 1st November 2019.
I have been giving the French InFiné label a lot of attention later. Here is another amazing artist, Tunisian producer and DJ Deena Abdelwahed. Deena starts her music career as vocalist for the jazz band So Soulful, and later moved behind the decks in deejay collective World Full of Bass. Back in November, Deena released her first solo album ‘Khonnar’ (Pronounced “Ronnar“), which is worth listening to on Spotify. And now we can also enjoy a follow-up remix album! The ‘Khonnar Remixes’ are avaialble as a 12″ Record/Vinyl and Digital Album at Bandcamp. This remix by Ital Tek (aka Alan Myson), an English electronic musician from Brighton (who despite having six albums on Planet Mu, I have somehow missed from #SOTD so far!).
