QRTR, a Brooklyn-based electronic producer and DJ, has signed with Dome of Doom for the release of her debut full-length album ‘Drenched’, out now as a limited Edition 100 run of High-Bias cassette tapes. Featuring a sample (or cover?) of ‘Ice Cream’ by New Young Pony Club, a song I couldn’t stop playing back in 2006.
Gnome Beats is the Los Angeles flamenco guitar player and producer Timo Ceniceros. Taken from the new album ‘Las Formas En Flujo’ (translation. ‘The Forms in Flux’), which was recorded over the last two and a half years. And the flute on this track is preformed be Wylie Cable, the founder of boutique Dome of Doom record label. Previous Wylie Cable #SOTDs here: Dog Park and: Mobious Strip (feat. CLYDE).
Coming from Boston, Jacob Gilman (aka Rah Zen) is back with his second album ‘Upon The Apex’, available now on Dome of Doom. The new album is available to pre-order on Bandcamp as either a Limited Edition, High-Bias cassette tapes w/ Full Colour Label (run of 100), or Digital Album. His first album ‘Midnight Satori’ is definitely worth a listen too (and is that a Dizzee Rascal sample in the track ‘Mindshift’??? Spotify).
Los Angeles producer Elusive returns to Dome of Doom with the new album Bonsai Tree. Recordings took place during November and December of last year at Elusive’s home studio in Venice, with features from LA-based musicians Ian Roller (saxophone) and Gabe Steiner (trumpet). The whole album is definitely worth a listen, available on Bandcamp.
