Bonobo – Bambro Koyo Ganda (feat. Innov Gnawa)
Bonobo is Simon Green, the Brighton (UK) musician, producer and DJ now based in Los Angeles. This track sees Bonobo team up with Innov Gnawa, a traditional Moroccan Gnawa music band based in New York City and fronted by Gnawa musician Mâallem Hassan Ben Jaâfer. Taken from Bonobo’s sixth album “Migration”, released on Ninja Tune back in 2017. Previous Bonobo #SOTDs are: Ibrik and: Kiasmos – Blurred (Bonobo Remix).
Sampa The Great – Final Form
Sampa Tembo (aka Sampa The Great) is a Zambia-born, Botswana-raised, and now Australia-based poet, singer-songwriter, and rapper. Final Form is Sampa’s first new music for 2019. Produced by longtime collaborator Silentjay (Rhythm Section) – and mixed by Jonwayne (his previous #SOTD here). Out on Ninja Tune, and available for £1 on Bandcamp.
