QRTR, a Brooklyn-based electronic producer and DJ, has signed with Dome of Doom for the release of her debut full-length album ‘Drenched’, out now as a limited Edition 100 run of High-Bias cassette tapes. Featuring a sample (or cover?) of ‘Ice Cream’ by New Young Pony Club, a song I couldn’t stop playing back in 2006.

Something a little more mellow. This is the first track from Rozi Plain’s new album ‘What a Boost’, out on Memphis Industries and available from Bandcamp. (There was a Limited Edition Glow in the Dark LP, but that has already sold out!) Rozi Plain is Rosalind Leyden, a (Bristol-based?) UK art-folk singer-songwriter, and frequent collaborated of This Is the Kit.
Khruangbin (which literally translates to “Engine Fly” in Thai) is an American musical trio from Houston, Texas, featuring Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Ray “DJ” Johnson Jr. on drums. Their second album ‘Con Todo El Mundo’ was one of my favourite albums of 2018! Absolutely Free is a three piece Canadian psychedelic rock band from Toronto, Ontario. Comprised of Moshe Fisher-Rozenberg (drummer), Michael Claxton (bassist), and Matt King (singer), the band was formed following the breakup of the trio’s former band DD/MM/YYYY (sometimes pronounced Day, Month, Year). From the upcoming Geneva Freeport EP, this single features vocals from experimental pop project U.S. Girls (aka American-Canadian musician and record producer Meghan Remy).
